Peak Beak Community Website Grant

1. Sponsor

The Peak Beak Community Website Grant is sponsored and administered by Peak Beak LLC, referred to in these rules as "Peak Beak" or "Sponsor."

2. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase, payment, donation, or business relationship with Peak Beak is necessary to submit a nomination or be considered. A purchase will not improve an organization's chances of being selected.

3. Eligibility

Eligible nominees must:

• Be a legitimate nonprofit or charitable organization
• Be recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, unless Peak Beak approves another qualifying community organization
• Primarily serve residents within Belmont County, Southeast Ohio, the Ohio Valley, or the greater Wheeling, WV area
• Be legally authorized to operate
• Have an authorized representative willing to work directly with Peak Beak
• Have a mission and activities that Peak Beak is legally and professionally able to support
• Not be owned, operated, or controlled by an employee or immediate family member of Peak Beak

Peak Beak may request documentation verifying eligibility before naming an organization as the recipient.

4. Nomination Period

Nominations begin on July 24, 2026 at 8:00 AM Eastern Time and end on September 30, 2026 at 10:00 PM Eastern Time. Nominations received after the deadline may not be considered.

5. How to Nominate

A person may nominate an eligible organization by commenting on the official Peak Beak Facebook post with:

• The organization's name
• A brief explanation of why it should be considered
• A description of how a better website could support its mission

Multiple individuals may nominate the same organization. Duplicate comments from the same person do not create additional consideration.

People may nominate an organization with which they are affiliated, provided they disclose their relationship when submitting the nomination.

6. Selection Process

The recipient will be selected by Peak Beak using the published selection criteria. Selection is based on judgment and is not random.

Peak Beak may contact nominated organizations for additional information. Peak Beak may also name finalists and consider community feedback before making its final decision.

Peak Beak's decisions regarding eligibility, interpretation of these rules, and selection of the recipient are final, subject to applicable law.

7. Grant Description

The selected organization will receive the following services:

• Design and development of one website containing up to five standard pages
• Responsive mobile and desktop design
• Basic search engine optimization
• Standard contact, donation, volunteer, and social-media integrations
• Twelve months of website hosting, maintenance, and reasonable content updates

The approximate retail value of the grant is $6,250, based on a five-page website build valued at $4,990 plus twelve months of Peak Beak website care at $105 per month.

No cash alternative or substitution will be provided. The grant cannot be transferred or resold.

8. Project Scope

The final website scope will be established in a written project agreement between Peak Beak and the selected organization.

The grant does not automatically include:

• Domain registration or renewal fees
• Paid plugins, software, subscriptions, or third-party services
• Payment-processing fees
• Custom applications or software development
• Ecommerce stores
• Membership systems
• Large databases
• Advanced integrations
• Unlimited pages, revisions, or content creation
• Professional photography, videography, or logo design

Peak Beak may voluntarily include additional services but is not required to do so.

9. Selected Organization's Responsibilities

The selected organization must:

• Designate one authorized project contact
• Sign Peak Beak's grant or website service agreement
• Provide accurate text, images, logos, policies, and account access
• Confirm that it owns or has permission to use all submitted materials
• Provide requested information and feedback within established deadlines
• Review and approve the website before launch
• Cooperate reasonably with Peak Beak throughout the project

Peak Beak may withdraw the grant and select another organization if the original recipient is unresponsive, ineligible, unable to participate, or unwilling to sign the required agreement.

10. Notification and Acceptance

Peak Beak will attempt to contact the selected organization using publicly available contact information and information supplied during the nomination process.

The organization must respond within ten (10) business days. If it does not respond, declines the grant, or cannot satisfy the eligibility requirements, Peak Beak may select another recipient.

By accepting the grant, the selected organization agrees that Peak Beak may:

• Announce the organization as the grant recipient
• Display the completed website in Peak Beak's portfolio
• Create a case study about the project
• Use the organization's name, logo, approved photographs, and publicly available information when promoting the grant and completed project
• Coordinate a public website-launch announcement with the organization

The selected organization will not be required to provide a positive review. It may be invited to provide an honest testimonial after the project is completed.

13. Rights Reserved

Peak Beak reserves the right to modify, postpone, suspend, or cancel the grant program if fraud, technical problems, insufficient eligible nominations, circumstances outside its control, or other legitimate concerns prevent the program from operating as intended.

Peak Beak may reject nominations containing false information, spam, harassment, offensive material, intellectual-property violations, or attempts to manipulate the selection process.

14. Privacy

Information submitted or collected in connection with the grant will be used to administer the program, verify eligibility, contact nominees, and promote the selected project. Personal information will not be sold. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

15. Facebook Disclaimer

This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Meta. By participating, nominators acknowledge that Facebook and Meta are not responsible for the administration of the grant or the selection of its recipient.

16. Release and Limitation

To the extent permitted by law, participants and nominated organizations agree to release Peak Beak and its representatives from claims arising from participation in the grant program, except where such a release is prohibited by law.

17. Governing Law

The grant program and these official rules are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes will be handled in an appropriate court located in Belmont County, Ohio, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
