Peak Beak IT is run by Matthew Carnes: 15+ years of hands-on IT experience and a B.S. in Computer Science from Kent State University, with a concentration in Computer & Information Security and a minor in mathematics.
That means the problem gets understood before it gets "fixed", and fixes don't come undone next week. It also means honest advice. If a $30 part or a settings change solves it, that's what you'll hear, not a sales pitch for new equipment.

Who will actually be working on my computers?
Matthew Carnes, the founder of Peak Beak. He has 15+ years of hands-on IT experience and a B.S. in Computer Science from Kent State with a concentration in computer and information security. You talk to the person doing the work.
Do you come on-site?
Yes. On-site visits are included within Belmont County. Outside the county, ask and we'll let you know what's possible. Many problems can also be fixed remotely in a secure screen-sharing session, which is often faster.
How does hourly billing work?
Home help is $79/hr and business help is $109/hr. The first hour is the minimum; after that, time is billed in 30-minute blocks. You'll know the rate before any work starts.
What's included in a monthly plan?
Plans are per computer, per month. Essentials ($39) covers monitoring, updates, antivirus and backup checks. Business ($69) adds help-desk support and email/Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration. Complete ($99) adds on-site time and priority response.
Will you ask for my passwords by email or text?
No. We never ask for passwords by email or text. When access is needed, we set it up securely with you. See our security page for how to recognize real Peak Beak messages.
Do you work with churches and nonprofits?
Yes, and nonprofits and churches get discounted rates. Ask when you reach out.
